Following its successful 2013 premiere on the beautiful Adriatic coast of Croatia, the "Splendors of the World" concert will be coming to the Robert B Moore theatre in Costa Mesa, California on January 26, 2014.

 

Producers, world-renowned dancer and director, Angelika Nemeth; and Academy of International Dance founder and director, Sonia Miskulin, will present a lively world dance and music concert featuring colorful costumes and rituals from various parts of the globe. The show features over 55 professional dancers and musicians performing West African dance styles, Egyptian urban Baladi, Flamenco, Bharata Natyam from Southern India, Persian classical dance, Chinese folkdance, Polynesian dance styles, Brazilian Capoiera, Mexican folklore, and American urban fusion including contemporary, jazz and hip hop.

 

Our mission is to bridge cultures by using a multi-cultural education and experience through international performing arts.

 

The Splendors of the World dance concert proceeds enable Orange County inner-city children, youth and adults to continue receiving a one-of-a kind multicultural performing arts educational experience at the Academy of International Dance, a non-profit organization in Santa Ana, California, since 2000.

 

The concert will be presented on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 7pm in the Robert B. Moore Theater on the Orange Coast College campus in Costa Mesa, California.
